Concrete batching is the process of automatically measuring and mixing cement, sand, aggregates, and water in the correct proportions to produce concrete. In a concrete block plant, the batching plant feeds the mixer — which then delivers fresh concrete to the block machine for pressing. The Turbo Pan Mixer is the mixing component of the Poyatos batching plant system, available in capacities from 500 to 4,500 litres to match any block machine output.

A Turbo Pan Mixer is a stationary concrete mixer with a circular drum and paddle system. Concrete ingredients — cement, aggregates, and water — are loaded from above. The paddles rotate and mix the materials into a uniform concrete batch. When mixing is complete, the bottom discharge trap opens and the fresh concrete drops directly into the skip hoist or conveyor that feeds the block machine. The whole cycle takes 45 to 60 seconds. Poyatos MF Series Turbo Pan Mixers are available in 7 models from 500 to 4,500 litres.
