What makes the Megabloc different from the Novabloc?

The Megabloc is Poyatos's most powerful machine — and its key difference from the Novabloc is the dual vibrating table system. While the Novabloc uses one servo vibrating table, the Megabloc uses two independent servo vibrating tables with 8 servo motors total. This allows balanced mould filling with independent vibration control on each table — resulting in higher output, better block density, and the most precise compaction in the Poyatos range. The Megabloc also supports larger pallet sizes (up to 1,500 mm) and has a higher hourly production capacity.

How many blocks per hour can the Megabloc produce?

The Megabloc can produce up to 5,400 blocks per hour in standard 400×200×200 mm hollow block format, with a cycle time of 13 to 15 seconds. Actual output depends on product type, mould format, concrete mix quality, and plant conditions. Our production capacity table on this page shows detailed output figures for different block and paver formats across all Megabloc model variants.

Can the Megabloc produce face-mix or decorative blocks?

Yes. The Megabloc can be optionally equipped with a face-mix system — allowing your plant to produce two-layer decorative blocks with a premium colour or texture on the visible face. Face-mix blocks are used in high-value construction and landscaping projects and sell at significantly higher prices than standard grey blocks.
